Current announcements

CT, ME, NH & NY  | Commercial delegation information – Delayed until further notice

Carelon will soon begin managing in-patient post-acute care services for most commercial members in the states of CT, ME, NH & NY. Delegated services will include utilization management.

CO, GA, NV & VA | Commercial delegation information

Carelon started managing in-patient post-acute care services for most commercial members in the states of CO, GA & NV on 10/1/23 and in the state of Virginia on 10/16/23. Delegated services include Utilization Management.

 

IN, KY, MO, OH & WI | Commercial delegation information

Carelon started managing in-patient post-acute care services for most commercial members in the states of IN, KY, MO, OH & WI on 9/1/23. Delegated services include Utilization Management.

Carelon utilizes CMS National and Local Coverage Determinations (NCD and LCD’s) when applicable, or Anthem medical policies and clinical Utilization Management guidelines to facilitate the appropriate evaluation of medical necessity by including assessment of the member throughout the continuum of care.
