Current announcements

Carelon is pleased to announce a new partnership with WyoBlue Advantage. Effective September 7^th 2026, Carelon will manage post‑acute care services for WyoBlue Advantage, Medicare Advantage, members in the state of Wyoming for the following plans: WyoBlue Essential PPO, WyoBlue Enhanced PPO, WyoBlue Entrust PPO.

Beginning September 5, 2026, Carelon will begin reviewing prior authorization requests for members anticipated to begin service on September 7, 2026 and after. This includes review of admission requests and corresponding continued stay requests in the following post-acute care settings:

• Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs)

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (IRFs)

• Long‑Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs)

Provider Orientation

To support providers ahead of this change, Carelon will offer informational orientation sessions beginning August 3^rd. These sessions are self‑paced, take approximately one hour to complete, and are designed to familiarize provider teams with Carelon services and workflows.

Carelon Provider Portal

Carelon encourages providers to utilize the online Carelon provider portal to submit authorization requests. Providers may begin registering for the portal on Saturday, August 24. Please find the link to our Carelon provider portal here.
